innovation at the cw

Look! While creating one of the advertisements for Season Two of Gossip Girl, a CW employee’s hand slipped and accidentally made Blair naked! Let’s not get upset at the alteration— in fact, if I were a 15-year old writer of smutty fanfic, I’d be rather pleased by the suggestion. Compare the advertisement with a photo from the episode, which aired earlier this year:

The CW, in my head, responded to these allegations by blaming the intern, who in turn blamed the costume designer for the “srsly atrocious” red bandeau top Blair sported in the show, who in turn blamed not the bikini but the body of actress Leighton Meester, who in turn blamed the CW for encouraging false body stereotypes, who in turn hired the 15-year old fanfiction writer.
